Monday 28 May 2012 is LHS's CROSS COUNTRY DAY. The whole school will be out and about, running up hill and down again then back around the field to the finish line. Come on come to school and cheer us on.
Room One will have another Learner at the Principal's Learning Party. Thursday 31st May at 10:30am.

We have begun our second journey of learning this year.
Our first topic was Food Technology we learnt to cook food, how to preserve it. ' How to keep our food safe'.
We are coming to the end of our 'Hikoi' where we found how to make our world safer by caring about each and by practicing 'Violence Free Begins With Me'.
We reviewed our Class Treaty. Room One will practice the ANZAC values of respect, hope, fairness, co-operation, courage - to try new things. Our promise is we will work and live together as a family in Room One.
We all like working on the computer in class. We love going into the ICT Room where we can all be on the computer at the same time. We use picture images and words to write our own stories on Clicker 5.

We love Kidpics Studio - it is easy to use.
We love playing music and games on the computer in our personal choice time. We use the class camera to take our own photos.

Our timetable looks like this:
Monday is Circle Sharing time, where we talk and write about our adventures over the weekend.
Tuesday is our Library and ICT time.
Wednesday is 'Whole School Assembly' time and also our weekly art and craft day.
Thursday is cooking time with Mrs Jackson.
Friday is Celebration of our Learning time. We also have buddy time with other classes, when we can fit it in.

Thomas went to see 'How to Train a Dragon'. He has written about his pet dragon Toothless.
Mrs S was thrilled when Hamish, independently started writing three sentence stories on the computer not once but twice a day. "AWESOME WORK TAMA!"
BoMin walked for ten minutes in her walker today. "GO GIRL GO!"
Hamish stayed calm when he was teased at lunchtime.
Thomas and BoMin read together at Read-athon time.
Thomas and Angus went on a hunt around the school looking for teen numbers (11,12,13,14,15,16,17, 18, 19) and numbers above 20 (twenty).
