The students are cared for by the following staff.
Sheryl Ennever
Maree Jackson
Liz Simpson
Room One staff members are all experienced in supporting students with a wide range of disabilities.
Sheryl Ennever:- Lead Teacher Aide who comes from a nursing background. "I am keen that our children have some understanding of issues in the wider world. I enjoy investigating their learning pathways and strengths."
Maree Jackson is keen for all the children that come to us to have fun while they are learning. "My aim is to give the children confidence and the 'give anything a go'attitude while they learn. We encourage the children to give anything a go make it fun by using lots of games and talking."
Liz Simpson:- Learning everyday alongside my students.
I'm learning to recognise their differences and similarities. I'm attempting to foster tolerance and respect for one another. I'm asking that we take time to understand another's point of view by walking in their shoes.
I'm celebrating with them when a new skill or a milestone step is taken.
How wonderful is that.
Room One @LHS is where children investigate the world around them. They face new challenges and new ideas daily.
It is a pleasure to see them grow as individuals.
Remember our class starts at 8:50!
(2:50p.m. is taxi boarding time)
"We're out of here" "See you next time you come to visit us."
