I am excited that you will be in my class, and believe that together we will make some great learning achievements. To explain my pepeha above, I said that my mountain was Waitakere, my harbour was the Waitemata Harbour, I am Cook Island, Samoan, Chinese as well as some European and Tahitian from my mother's side. So a bit of a fruit salad. I have recently just finished my Masters studying at AUT and I am thrilled that you will be my very first class.
I love drawing, craft-making, dancing, watching movies, anime and playing video games. Below are some artwork I've done in the past for #inktober. I hope to hear so much more about all of your gifts and talents too!
This year room 28 is filled with an awesome squad of 27, year 6 - 7 learners.
This term, alongside the rest of the Kauri team we will be exploring Aotearoa's cultural heritage and historic backgrounds. Our learners will be given the opportunity to explore a range of learning experiences to uncover the traditions, cultures and migrations of our past. An exciting exploration for room 28!
To all my students, I ask that you come to our class with a fresh and keen mind to learn. Prepared to begin the new year.
And to all our families if you would like to get in contact with me, my details are below.
Feel free to pop in to see me!
